After an ongoing issue with the velodrome lights' controller, vandalism and theft of copper wiring, and then a small electrical fire(!) in the clubrooms - we're back!

We're suspending training at Hanson Reserve Velodrome due to lack of track (and field) lighting in the short-term.

Due to the Tour Down Under (and Adelaide Track League) there's no training at Hanson Velodrome on the 12, 17 & 19 January 2023.

Port Adelaide CC is running Tuesday evening racing in the CBD (Gritty City Critty) on the 22nd, 29th November and 6th December, so will not be running the regular Tuesday night track training at Hanson Reserve. Thursday MotoPace will continue as usual.

Unfortunately with the days getting shorter, and the velodrome lights being out of action (they work but we just can't turn them on!) we've had to suspend both the Tuesday and Thursday sessions at Hanson Reserve until the lights are repaired by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield. We just don't have enough light to a safe session (and daylight savings ends this weekend).

We are aiming to return to more 'normal' club activities in the week starting 1st June 2020, as permitted by law. While this means we can start to recommence some of our activities, we are still limited in what we can offer. Our interpretation of the Emergency Declaration is we generally offer a non-contact sport (where any contact between participants that does occur, is accidental) and we can make changes to our activities to try to keep riders, coaches, officials and volunteers Covid-safe.

We will be having a short break in training at Hanson Reserve Velodrome over the Christmas / New Year period.

Port Adelaide CC is excited to be teaming up with Kilkenny Cycling Club and Cycling SA to present the Return to Hanson Reserve track and cyclo-cross event, incorporating the official (re)opening of the Velodrome with the City of Port Adelaide Enfield.

Hanson Reserve is back in regular use with PACC and Kilkenny CC jointly running two training sessions per week at the outdoor velodrome, under lights. The canteen is open, and the training is extremely popular with 55 riders the highest number recorded to date!
