Port Adelaide CC returned to the Reservoir Park in North Adelaide - this time with permission from SA Water and the City of Adelaide we were able to circumnavigate the reservoir itself, as well as use the park's other terrain which includes gravel, dirt, bottomless pine needles as well as the former cricket oval with super grippy turf.
We had our first european pro cx drop in to race our event - Gosse van der Meer was as smooth as silk over the course, and was very generous with his time coaching the Womens Pirate Life Dirt Skills session in the park on Saturday - check out his video of the session here!
Thanks to Cycle Closet and Focus Bikes for supporting volunteers with givaways for early risers with 10 pairs of Morvelo socks in club colours randomly drawn from the names of the early morning helpers and officials who assembled and inspected the course ready for everyone to practice by 9am! Everyone who started the races today had their name added in the draw for a Focus Mares carbon CX frame to be drawn next month.
