For the second season running Zero Friction Cycling is back to spice up the PACC TTs as a series. Time trials are considered the pure 'race of truth' - it's just you versus the clock - no excuses!
How do you view the TT race results? Do you compare against your own personal best time, or see how close you got to the course records? (BTW: long-held course records are both owned by PACCers - 25:00 (Carly Light) & 21:14 (Miles Scotson)! Do you check whether you beat a family member? See how your secret race nemesis went? Or, just compare against people within your own regular age category or usually racing the same grade as you?
Adam Kerin from ZFC takes things to a whole new level, using 'age adjusted' results (with a fancy UK algorithym) to make the older riders young again, so we can compare who is best performing regardless of their age! This summer the best performing Age Adjusted Men and Women in the 'best of three' rides will win prizes from Zero Friction Cycling at the end of the season. Currently, Craig Sheldon (race age 56) and Jill Seeman (race age 48) sit atop the leaderboard after race 1.
