OK so lets give this a crack!
Given the current environment we are putting together a few meetup rides and possibly group workouts on Zwift. So if you are not a zwifter, then here is some info to help get you started so you can join some community rides until we can resume regular programming.
Here are some links to help get you started:
- Get Zwifting. There is a 7 day trial for those who have never had an account before
- How to ride with friends.
There are two limitations to organise a group ride where everyone stays together:
- 50 person limit
- Can only be added to the ride if you follow the ride organiser.
So based on these limitations, this is currenly how we will organise meetup rides.
How to join a ride
1. Log into Zwift and follow a ride leader
Using the Zwift companion app, find and follow the follow list (will keep maintained) of club members that will be organising PACC meetup rides
Name | Profile Link |
---|---|
Peter Davis | https://www.zwiftpower.com/profile.php?z=15469 |
2. Join the PACC discord channel
Join into the PACC discord channel here: https://discord.gg/9Nrkd8H
Drop a message in in the general discord channel to be added to the meetup ride, and we will add you (until we reach 50) to the ride.
3. Getting social during the ride.
Discord is commonly used by zwift teams in races so that riders can talk to eachother, like having a team radio. More information here: https://zwiftinsider.com/using-discord/
We will open the general voice chat during the ride to see how that goes.
Finding PACC Events
We will list any Zwift meetup events on the PACC Events page, and also ping a message on the discord channel when we set one up.
Hope you can join our e-bunchie!
