2022 Committee Appointed

On Tuesday 14 June the Port Adelaide Cycling Club held its 2022 Annual General Meeting at The King's Head Hotel where our new Committee was appointed.

With three positions becoming vacant, the committee were very pleased to receive three new nominations.

After two years on the Committee, Alison Sorrell advised she would be stepping down as General Committee member. Ali is a passionate club member who has made a real impact on the club's social media presence at events, and we are grateful for her commitment and time given to supporting PACC.

Mark Gregory also decided it was time to step down as Vice President. MarkyG has left a significant legacy with the club, his commitment and loyalty will be hard to match for many years ahead. His inclusivity and encouragement to others is greatly admired by many and the club is lucky to have had such a dedicated member helping steer the club for so many years.

We also wish farewell to Jenny Macpherson who has stepped down up as President. Jenny has been committee member for the past five years and is proud to have had the opportunity to represent this amazing, loyal, diverse, and fun club. 

To fill these positions, the committee is pleased to welcome back Gemma Kernich into the big chair as President. Gemma is no stranger to PACC and the cycling community and is actively involved in track training (either riding, coaching or motopacing), racing CX and you may even occasionally catch her out on the roadie. After a stint on the AusCycling Board, we are pleased to have Gemma back.

The committee is also very pleased to have two brand new members joining, welcome Rohan Wight and Tim Grisbrook. Rohan has a significant background in elite level track cycling as a rider and more recently as a coach of the National women's track endurance squad. Tim (or more frequently known as 'Tups') has played a significant role in the 'Mood' cycling team and is pretty handy with graphic design work too.

Both Rohan and Tups are keen to learn and help bring to life some exciting new cycling opportunities which is sure to increase the positive vibes for our members!
