Today saw the final round of the 2017-18 PACC Zero Friction Cycling Time Trial season. The field was small, but the racing was fast – on the way out at least – but a headwind on the way home slowed the average speeds. You can check out the race 5 results here and a round by round recap here.

Race day conditions across the season were mixed – and a cruise ship arrival lead us to reschedule one event, but all in all results were fast with a number of PB’s achieved. Despite this, the course records held by PACCers Miles Scotson (21:14) and Carly Light (25:00) remain intact. We welcomed a number of new riders to the TT mix this season and we hope you enjoyed the 'Race of Truth'.

While it was the 10th season hosting time trials at Outer Harbor, it was the first time that we held it as a series. Huge thanks to Adam Kerin and Phil Davill who worked on a version of the age adjusted algorithm used in the UK. We hope that participants enjoyed the thrill of the chase.

The top five age-adjusted men are: Richard Walsh, Uwe Lovato, Mark Greenwood, Mat Franks and Darren Webb. The women’s list is made up of: Jill Seeman, Meriel Custance, Gemma Kernich, Liz Buckley and Bronwyn Dolman. Congratulations to you all.

All riders who make up the top 5 in % under 'age group standard time' (male and female) win a premium YBN SLA chain that has been pre-treated with Molten Speed Wax. We hope you enjoy. When you get a chance, head on over to the Zero Friction Cycling website. Don’t worry if waxing is not for you, Adam has put in over 1,400 hours of machine controlled testing to find and stock the genuine best in class drip lubes too! We will be in touch shortly regarding prize collections.

To all our riders, thanks for supporting our events and thanks to the vollie team of Will Lyons, Jo Dettloff, Pete Davis and Paula Hollamby for the early mornings. Look forward doing it again later in the year.
