Port Adelaide Cycling Club will hold its 2025 Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 20 May 2025 at 6:30pm at the Golden Wattle, Pirie Street Adelaide.

The Agenda, and all documents relating to the AGM will be distributed to Financial Members of the Club in due course.

Nominations to the Board

Pursuant to clause 15 of the Constitution, the Board consists of six (6) Elected Board Members, and up to five (5) Appointed Board Members. Board Members are elected or appointed for a two-year term. 

The terms of the Board Members listed below are expiring at the 2025 AGM. Each of them is eligible for re-election:

  • Adam Hughes
  • Peter Davis
  • Jo Dettlof (Treasurer)
  • Barnaby Grant (President)

The continuing Board Members are:

  • Gemma Kernich
  • Timothy Grisbrook (Tuppence)
  • Troy Bryant
  • Aaron Hughes
  • Benny Janssen (Secretary)

As a volunteer-run Club, we need assistance from our members to run all facets of the club and we would like to see members nominate to serve on the Board. The Board is a passionate group of members and we seek nominations from our passionate and talented member base to ensure we can plan and execute measures to ensure a sustainabile future for the club. Nominations must be received on the attached nomination Form, approved by the proposer and the nominee.  Forms are to be lodged with the Secretary by 5:00pm on 19 May 2025.

Nominations for Life Membership

Pursuant to clause 6.4 of the Constitution, any Member of the Club may nominate another member for Life Membership, which is the highest honour that the Club can bestow for longstanding and valued service to the Club and to Cycling. If you wish to nominate a member for Life Membership, please complete the Life Membership Nomination Form and submit to the secretary ([email protected]) by COB Friday 25 April  2025. 

Nominations for Volunteer of the Year

Like all sporting clubs, volunteers make up the lifeblood of Port Adelaide Cycling Club. We rely on them to run the Club as part of the Board, organising training and racing events, setting up and packing up, supporting our other members and ensuring compliance with keeping the club running.  The Volunteer of the Year award has been running since 2019, and we ask members to reognise their favourite volunteer by nominating them for the 2024 Award. Fill in the attached nomination form and return to the secretary by 5:00pm on 25 April 2025.

Junior Scholarships

If you are under 23, have been selected to a state or national team, or are racing at the national level regularly, you may be eligible for our junior racing scholarships.  The eleigibility period is the club financial year (1 April - 31 March) and we will announce the recipients at the AGM.  To apply, please send us an email outlining your achievements and highlights of the past year and what you hope to achieve in 2025-26.  Don't forget to include a photo!  Emails must be recieved to [email protected] by 25 April 2025.
