PACC on Track at Austral week 17-20 December at Melbourne’s DISC velodrome

A big few days at the Austral with William Brown, Marve Plouffe, Tayte Ryan, James Brister, Max Liebeknecht, Maddie Wasserbach and Alli Anderson all in the action at DISC, Melbourne.

William Brown (Watersley R&D) U19 Omnium National Champion!! – tied on points but won the final sprint across line in Points Race to take the title on countback! Earlier in the week, William teamed up with Ollie Ward (NCC) to win U19 Madison title. Congrats Will!

Maeve Plouffe (O'Shea Redchilli) teamed up with Nicole Duncan (CCCC) to win the Women Madison National Championship.

Tayte Ryan (ARA Australia) won the Austral UCI C1 Sprint competition against international competition from Japan and Malaysia.

Fellow PACC Sprinters James Brister (SASI) finished 5th and Max Liebeknecht (SASI) 10th (would make a formidable ‘club’ team sprint team!)

Same 3 riders featured in the UCI C1 Keirins, with Brister finishing 4th , Liebeknecht 11th and Ryan 12th.

Maddie Wasserbach (Butterfields Ziptrak) finished 2nd in the Austral Wheelrace (cha-ching!) behind fellow South Australian Leani Van de Berg (NCC). Wasserbach also partnered with Odette Lynch (NCC) in the Women Madison finishing 6th, with Alli Anderson (Butterfields Ziptrak) and her team mate in 5th.
