So, the question is a choice between (a) VEE-SHOW and (c) VISH-OH.
My money is on (c). |
Ah, yes I misread, but so have you! ((c) is written vishow above, not vish-oh)
I'm not sure if you say 'veesh' or 'vish' at the start, but I'm pretty certain that it would end with an 'oh' sound, like 'merlot'. _________________ What would Jens do? |

Yep. Pronunciation for mine would be with the emphasis on the second syllable.
Vee-show.

some people might be getting the wrong idea, i think the whole point here is to support a guy who gets no support and expects that nobody even knows who he is. its not a big joke to pay him out for being some anonymous bro who just gets bottles or whatever. give the guy some credit, he is better than every single one of us. _________________

Agree - we are cheering him on because he is a great rider in his own right (like every pro), just not someone who would usually receive a lot of public support.
Have added a note to original post so that hopefully people will see it who are jumping on the bandwagon... _________________ What would Jens do? |

Hey Stabbie please don't get carried away. We know he can ride a road bike better than any of us but that does not mean "he is better than every single one of us." _________________

Let me guess you are a damned good wicket-keeper. That's exactly what I was hinting at because I really don't know the pronunciation for certain.
When I was in France all those years ago I received a somewhat forcefully-delivered word that sounded awfully like our rider's name pronounced the way I suggested. When I made enquiries of a couple of people I received odd looks so I quickly dropped the investigation.
Don't worry Captain Dan I do not intend to probe the Arthur looking for answers! _________________

As someone has pointed out, Arthur should be eligible for the 'Cycle Instead" Young Riders Jersey (for U25s)
Be great if he picks up a jersey! _________________ single speed - one is all you need |

the Brisbane connection is making a difference, one of our members is down there and here is his experiences with AV:
| Quote: | Will put up some pics tonight, but we just went for a roll down by the pier and bumped into the whole FDJ team...
One of the guys gave us his jersey and we took a whole bunch of pics with us in FDJ kit with the team... (including Vichot)... i dont think he knows what is going on, but the whole team were surprised when we asked where he was and they called him back from the beach for some pics with us...
Great bunch of guys. also bumped into Yuri (AG2R) ukranian champ i think and did the glenelg ride this morning the the 6000 other lance supporters... for a 2 day organised event i have to say it shits on the brisbane to gold coast... much more accommodating down here... |
Our member is the one kneeling down in the front right.

| stabmaster arson wrote: | | LOL ill be looking out for your guys on saturday | OK how about a little bit of reverse psyche em out. If you spot them and particularly the person I've mentioned who is the only one I recognise in the Brisbane group, pretend you know him and he's forgotten you. His real name is "Kal" and he is known as Mighty Morbo on the forums as in the green alien newsreader from Futurama and he is an accountant. So do with that what you can for a bit of fun. In fact if you can find someone who works as security or the police and get them to pretend that they need to talk to him about 'stalking' Arthur Vichot. That would be an awesome prank.

arthur vichot's australian fan club - article on eurosport.fr
http://www.eurosport.fr/cyclisme/arthur-vichot-superstar_sto2186086/flashnews.shtml
| Quote: | To his great surprise, Arthur Vichot, the racer neo pro of the team FDJeux.com has a fan club in Australia.
"Recruited" by the site Facebook by a group of young desirous Australians to support an unknown one Turn Down Under, the young Arthur Vichot had the pleasant suprise to meet its new fans, this Sunday at the time of the critérium of opening of the Turn of Australia.
Carrying of the T shirts "Go Vichot Go" and "Lively 107" (his number number on this turn), these Australians put mood in the rows of the team francaise. If it finds the original idea and funny plutot, the nephew of the pro old Frédéric Vichot has now the pressure on its shoulders and will have definitely to show itself during this week if it wants to let the rows of his Australian fan club increase. |
